Meet the Owner

I'm Vinay Iyer, a successful entrepreneur and owner of multiple home service businesses. With a diverse portfolio, I operate

  • Ace Handyman Services, a franchise of Ace Hardware;
  • Gotcha Covered, a custom window treatments franchise, operating under the Five Star Franchising banner; and
  • Urbane Upgrade, a custom carpentry and tiling service based in Indianapolis.


Before venturing into the home services industry, I had an accomplished career in the automotive sector for 23 years, with Corporate roles in Mechanical Engineering and Product Management at Cummins, Endress & Hauser and Faurecia.


In 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I reevaluated my career and decided to shift my focus to the home services space—an area that had always intrigued me.

By leveraging my extensive corporate experience and engineering background, I am committed to offering clients personalized, high-quality solutions for their home projects. My unique blend of technical expertise and service-oriented approach sets my businesses apart, allowing me to deliver exceptional and tailored results for every client.
